A life of comfort and ease doesn't drive you to excel. It is too easy to get complacent and lazy. What we really need is hardship, that is the best motivator.

The best times of my life have always been when I was poor and working long hours to build something. Those are the times I fondly remember. The affluent times are boring because I just get lazy and over-indulge.
